Suspect arrested over fatal Minuwangoda shooting

The rider of the motorcycle that carried the gunmen, a key suspect involved in a fatal shooting, was arrested by the Minuwangoda Police.

Police took 11 grams and 150 milligrams of ICE into custody along with the suspect at the time of the arrest.

The raid was conducted last night (21) in the Galoluwa area of Minuwangoda based on information received whilst investigations into the murder were underway.

A 36-year-old three-wheeler driver died when this murder was committed in the Minuwangoda area on 13 August 2025.

Minuwangoda Police are conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
