Navy rescues woman who fell into Diyawanna Oya

A woman who fell into the Diyawanna Oya in the Sandun Uyana area on Japanese Friendship Road in Battaramulla last (24) afternoon was rescued by a Navy lifeguard team.

The Navy stated that she was subsequently admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.

The person who fell into the Diyawanna Oya in this manner is a 59-year-old resident of the Nugegoda area.
