High temperatures expected in 10 districts today

The Department of Meteorology states that although rainy weather prevails in the south-western parts of the island, a temperature felt on the human body may prevail in 10 districts today (29).

The department mentioned that the temperature may rise in this manner in Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mullaaitivu, Vavuniya, Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Ampara, Polonnaruwa, Hambantota, and Monaragala districts.

Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology stated that due to the apparent southward relative motion of the sun, it will be directly overhead at 12:11 pm today over Pallavarayankaddu, Akkarayankulam, Ariviyal Nagar, Puthukkudiyiruppu, and Ananthapuram areas.
