Dry weather may affect next year’s coconut yield

Coconut Research Institute states that coconut yield in the coming year may be affected due to the prevailing dry weather.

Its chairman, Professor Ajith Jayaweera, stated that if the impacts of dry weather conditions continue over the next few months, this situation will escalate.

However, he further mentioned that a 11% growth in coconut yield exists this year compared to last year.
