Three suspects arrested over Katana murder

Three suspects were arrested by the Negombo Division Crime Investigation Bureau yesterday (29) in connection with a murder in the Katana police division, according to the Police Media Division.

The arrests were made following an investigation into the fatal assault of an individual in the Katana police area on 28 August.

Based on information received by investigating officers, the main suspect and two accomplices were arrested yesterday in Daluwakotuwa, Fatima Watta, and Kurana, and subsequently handed over to the Katana Police Station.

The suspects, aged 23, 47, and 49, are residents of Kadirana, Eththukala, and Kochchikade.

Katana Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
