A local government member representing the National People's Power (NPP) and a group of individuals have been arrested and released on police bail on charges of attacking a house in the Nelliady area and damaging its CCTV camera system.
According to the correspondent, the group behaved violently by pelting stones at the residence belonging to a retired public officer and destroyed the security cameras installed at the house.
Acting swiftly on a telephone call made by the residents to the Nelliady Police Station regarding the incident, a police team arrived at the location, surrounded the area, and arrested the suspects.
However, after questioning the suspects at the police station, steps were taken to release them on police bail.
