Four suspects were taken into custody alongside four high-capacity motorbikes in the Nikaweratiya area by police officers.
Driving at extreme speeds while fitted with modified sound silencers led to the apprehension of the individuals.
Those taken into custody were identified as residents of Nikaweratiya, Vithikuliya, Kobeigane, and Thuththiripitiya, ranging between 18 and 22 years of age.
Preliminary investigations revealed that all the motorbikes involved were being operated using fake license plates.
