24-hour water cut in several areas of Colombo tomorrow

A 24-hour water cut will be imposed in several areas of the Colombo District from 8.00 pm tomorrow (03) to 8.00 pm the following day (04), according to the National Water Supply and Drainage Board.

The board mentioned that the water supply will be suspended due to essential maintenance work being carried out on the Ambatale-Dehiwala water transmission pipe near Diyatha Uyana in Battaramulla (near the Polduwa bridge).

Accordingly, the water supply will be suspended in the Nugegoda, Kohuwala, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Ratmalana, Moratuwa, Rawatawatta, Soysapura, Angulana, Idibedda, Katubedda, Kaldemulla, Modara, Koralawella, Egodauyana, and Katukurunda areas.

Furthermore, the board mentioned that the water supply will also be suspended in Sethsiripaya, Himbutana, Udumulla Road, Maligagodella, Bank Junction Road, W. A. Silva Mawatha, Havelock Road, Kalyani Road, Colombo 06, Hospital Roundabout Road, Jayanthi Mawatha, and Shanthi Mawatha areas.
