Koralagamage Mandinu Padmasiri Perera alias 'Kehelbeddara Padme', detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act by the Criminal Investigation Department, faced a remand order until the 17th issued by Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (03).
Submissions from the Criminal Investigation Department preceded this order when the relevant case was called.
The suspect connected to the incident appeared in court via Zoom from Boossa Prison.
Investigation officers requested further remand for the suspect as ongoing investigations continue.
Directions from the magistrate instructed the Criminal Investigation Department to refer cases concerning the suspect in other courts to those respective jurisdictions, while restricting cases before this court solely to the matter under the Prevention of Terrorism Act and the case concerning the Ganemulla Sanjeewa homicide.
