Air Vice Marshal takes over as new vice chancellor of KDU

Air Vice Marshal Indika Wickramasinghe has officially assumed responsibilities as the new Vice Chancellor of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.

He follows Rear Admiral Dammika Kumara, who stepped down after finishing his term.

The official handover ceremony occurred at the university grounds in Ratmalana with senior academic, administrative, and military personnel in attendance.

According to a Ministry of Defence statement, Wickramasinghe brings deep expertise in defence studies, strategic affairs, and aerospace engineering to the role.
