In a statement emphasizing that "do not be deceived by the US" and warning that "any suspicious move will be targeted," the Commander of the IRGC Navy declared that the act of aggression by the US terrorist military—in attacking three oil tankers belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran—will be met with a firm response.

A statement issued on Saturday evening by the Navy of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) reads: "Heroic and awakened nation of beloved Iran; This morning, the terrorist and aggressor US military—in a barbaric act born of desperation—attacked three oil tankers belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran, causing damage."
