Namal allowed to attend Parliament session today

Remanded Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna National Organiser Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa was granted permission to attend the parliamentary session taking place today (8).

He will be taken to Parliament according to the permission granted by the Speaker, Prisons Media Spokesperson Prisons Commissioner Senaka Pallethenna stated.

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna sent a letter to Speaker Doctor Jagath Wickramaratne through the Parliamentary Opposition Leader's Office requesting permission for Namal Rajapaksa to attend upcoming parliamentary sessions.

Meanwhile, a group including former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Shiranthi Rajapaksa visited Welikada Prison yesterday to inquire about the well-being of Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa.
