FitsAir temporarily suspends Colombo-Dubai flights

FitsAir suspended its flights between Colombo and Dubai temporarily due to the evolving global situation and its impact across the Middle East from September 6.

The suspension will remain in place as developments in the region are monitored, according to the airline. FitsAir expects to resume Colombo-Dubai services from 19 November 2026, subject to the prevailing situation.

The airline stated that it understands the inconvenience caused to passengers and expressed appreciation for their patience and understanding during the disruption.

FitsAir operates scheduled Colombo-Dubai services under flight numbers 8D821/ 8D822.

The latest announcement marks another disruption to Sri Lanka-Middle East air connectivity amid ongoing regional uncertainties. Earlier this year, FitsAir also suspended Middle East services temporarily during regional airspace disruptions before becoming the first Sri Lankan carrier to resume scheduled Colombo-Dubai flights in March.
