Four injured after assault at Kilinochchi fuel station

Four individuals were injured and hospitalized following a knife attack and assault at a fuel station in Kilinochchi town last night (10).

The incident occurred after an argument escalated when an employee requested a tipper truck driver to move his vehicle forward after refueling. The driver initially departed the scene but returned with five other individuals to carry out the attack.

The owner of the fuel station, the manager, an employee, and a customer sustained injuries during the assault.

The suspects fled the scene following the incident, and Kilinochchi Police are conducting further investigations utilizing CCTV footage of the occurrence.
