Several districts to experience ‘Caution’ level heat index

The Department of Meteorology has issued a heat index advisory warning that the temperature felt on the human body is expected to reach the "Caution" level tomorrow (13).

According to the forecast, the condition will affect the North-Central and Eastern provinces, as well as the Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mullaittivu, Vavuniya, Kurunegala, Moneragala, and Hambantota districts.

Members of the public in the affected areas are advised to stay hydrated, take necessary breaks in the shade, and limit prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
