Severe lightning warning issued

A severe lightning warning has been issued by the Department of Meteorology for twenty-one districts.

According to the announcement, severe lightning along with thundershowers may occur in several places during the evening or night today in the North-Central, North Western, Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, and Southern provinces, as well as the Ampara, Batticaloa, Vavuniya, and Mannar districts.

Meanwhile, landslide warning announcements were issued for the Colombo, Kalutara, and Kegalle districts due to adverse weather.
