The Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces will experience showers from time to time, while fairly heavy showers of more than 50mm are possible in some areas of Galle, Matara, Kalutara and Ratnapura districts, according to a statement issued by the Department of Meteorology.
Several spells of rain may also occur in the North Western Province, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Uva and Eastern provinces, Mullaitivu and Polonnaruwa districts after 1 pm.
