Habeeb Rifan sworn in as a National List Member of Parliament

Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) member Habeeb Rifan was sworn in as a new Member of Parliament today.

Rifan took his oath before Speaker of Parliament after parliamentary proceedings began this morning.

He was appointed to fill the National List parliamentary seat that became vacant following the recent resignation of M.S. Abdul Wahid, who had represented the SLMC as a National List MP.
