The debenture issue of Abans Finance PLC has been oversubscribed, reflecting strong investor appetite for fixed-income instruments in Sri Lanka’s capital market.
The company announced that it has received applications exceeding Rs. 1 billion for its Initial Public Offering of 10 million listed, rated, senior, unsecured, redeemable debentures, each with a face value of Rs. 100.
Following the oversubscription, the issue is scheduled to close at 4:30 p.m. on April 27, 2026, in line with the terms set out in the prospectus.
Abans Finance also retains the option to issue an additional 5 million debentures in the event of excess demand, potentially increasing the total value of the offering to Rs. 1.5 billion.
The basis of allotment will be announced in due course to the Colombo Stock Exchange.
