GoodWe, a global PV inverter manufacturer and smart energy solutions provider, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SLSEA), hosted the Solar + Storage Forum 2026 at Marino Beach, Colombo, highlighting the growing role of solar and battery storage solutions in Sri Lanka’s clean energy future.
The event attracted over 400 participants from across Sri Lanka’s renewable energy sector, reflecting increasing interest in energy storage technologies and the country’s transition towards solar power and battery adoption.
The forum was attended by Energy Minister Anura Karunathilaka, Secretary to the Ministry of Energy G.M.R.D. Aponsu, SLSEA Chairman Prof. Wijendra J. Bandara, senior government officials, and industry leaders.
Addressing the forum, Minister Anura Karunathilaka said Sri Lanka’s clean energy future depends on strong collaboration between the government, industry, and technology providers.
“Forums such as this play a vital role in fostering innovation, attracting investment, and accelerating the deployment of renewable energy solutions,” he said.
Energy Ministry Secretary G.M.R.D. Aponsu said that as Sri Lanka increases the share of renewable energy in its generation mix, energy storage technologies and grid modernisation will become critical enablers.
GoodWe Sales Head (APAC) James Hou said the company, ranked as Sri Lanka’s No. 1 rooftop solar storage supplier in the residential and commercial and industrial markets, remains committed to supporting the country’s clean energy transition.

The company said it has established a nationwide service network and dealer network to ensure timely customer assistance, including local technical support, spare parts availability, and islandwide transportation for warranty replacements.
At the forum, GoodWe showcased its latest residential and commercial and industrial energy storage solutions, including the Lynx U G3 paired with ES Uniq, the ET LV Series, and the Lynx A G4. These solutions are based on the company’s CoreLock concept, integrating battery and inverter systems into a unified energy storage platform.
The second edition of the Solar + Storage Forum further strengthened collaboration between government agencies, industry stakeholders, and technology providers, supporting Sri Lanka’s goal of achieving a greener and more energy-secure future.
