Be a Canadian X Adams International will host the GLOBAL STUDY EXPO on Saturday, 5 September, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Epitome Hotel, Kurunegala.
The event will provide students with opportunities to meet international university and industry representatives and obtain firsthand information about available study opportunities overseas.
“If a student is looking to plan their higher studies abroad, the GLOBAL STUDY EXPO would be the ideal platform for it.”
“This event is designed to give you practical guidance, expert support and access to valuable opportunities, all in one place,” one of the organisers said.
Students will be able to meet face to face with experienced counsellors and field experts who can help them choose the right study destination. These experts can assess their academic background, career goals and future plans and provide guidance based on their individual requirements.
The event will also offer students information on scholarship opportunities, application fee waivers and special offers available from universities and other institutions. They can also learn about student loan facilities and available financial solutions for their overseas education.
“They can also get guidance on English proficiency requirements, including available English classes and preparation options,” the organiser said.
In addition, information and assistance will be available under the same roof on air ticket bookings, helping students understand and plan their travel arrangements before departure.
Another key area will be guidance on how students should prepare to receive and demonstrate “show money” and obtain financial assistance, including how to properly prepare and present their financial profile.
Students will also be able to understand visa requirements and documentation, with professional guidance on preparing a stronger application. They can also learn about post-study opportunities, including graduate work options and potential career pathways.
The expo will further provide pre-departure guidance on accommodation, travel preparation, insurance and settling into a new country.
Some of the key persons who will be physically present at the venue include Demian De Zilva, CEO/Founder of Be a Canadian; Chirath Chandrasena, Business Development Manager at ApplyBoard; Sasanka Abeygoonarathna, Regional Manager Sri Lanka at KC Overseas Education; Pradiksha Arul, Director of Oh My Education Pvt Ltd; the Jouchi Japanese Language Academy team; and many other resource persons.
