The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation recently restricted the issuance of kerosene oil in bulk quantities citing misuse.
The Ministry of Fisheries Resources Development said that issues faced by fishermen due to the restriction have now been sorted out.
The decision was taken following a discussion between a group of representatives from the fishing community and subject Minister Mahinda Amaraweera.
Now the fishermen are issued kerosene oil without any restriction and the Ministry is advising the fishermen to provide details if they encounter any issue in this regard.
