MP Thowfeek's house in Kinniya damaged following attack (Photos)

Trincomalee District Muslim Congress Member of Parliament, M. S. Thowfeek's house in Kinniya was reportedly attacked by a group and severely damaged.

The attack carried out following the outrage that sparked over a bridge ferry accident in Kinniya this morning.

Six people, including four children, were killed in the tragedy this morning.

In addition, 19 others were hospitalized due to the accident and four of them are reported to be in critical condition.

The Sri Lanka Navy and the Lifeguard Unit of the Sri Lanka Navy launched a search operation in the lagoon area using divers.
