The Sri Lanka Police have warned vehicle owners against displaying political party campaign advertisements on their vehicles. According to Police Media Spokesman, Deputy Inspector General Nihal Thalduwa, displaying such ads is illegal, and vehicles found with them will be stopped, and the ads will be removed.
Thalduwa also highlighted that the removal of firmly attached stickers or posters could potentially damage the vehicle. He urged vehicle owners to voluntarily remove these advertisements to avoid police intervention.
