Former State Minister Lohan Ratwatte and his spouse were granted bail by the Nugegoda Magistrate's Court today.
The bail comes after the couple was implicated in an investigation involving an illegally assembled luxury car without a number plate. The vehicle, was discovered parked at a three-story house on Embuldeniya Shalawa Road in Mirihana, belonging to Ratwatte’s wife.
Following investigations, the Mirihana Police arrested Ratwatte in Katugastota on October 30 in connection with the incident. He was remanded after being presented before the court. Further inquiries into the matter are ongoing.
