Miss Sri Lanka Anudi Gunasekara has advanced to the Top 20 in the Head-to-Head Challenge category at the 72nd Miss World competition.
She is one of only five finalists selected from the Asia and Oceania region.
This is a landmark achievement, as she is the first Sri Lankan to reach the final round of this segment.
The other countries from the Asia and Oceania region to qualify alongside her are Thailand, Turkey, Lebanon, and Japan.
Notably, Anudi Gunasekara is also the only contestant from Asia to qualify for the final rounds of both the "Head to Head" and "Talent" segments.
Her initial presentation in the "Head to Head Presentation" earlier in the competition garnered significant global attention.
The final competition featuring the Top 20 contestants is scheduled to take place today (23).
