A large-scale fire erupted at an oil-related manufacturing plant located in Delgoda, within the Meegahawatta police division, around midnight yesterday (31).
Meegahawatta police stated that the facility sustained extensive damage as a result of the blaze.
The fire was successfully brought under control through the joint efforts of the Gampaha Municipal Council’s fire brigade and officers from the Meegahawatta police station.
Authorities have confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported.
Investigations are currently underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
