Cinnamon Gardens Police informed Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (30) that an investigation commenced regarding the alleged theft of a Bible valued at Rs. 20,300 from a shop.
The police submitted a B-report to the court detailing the incident following a complaint lodged on the 4th by a shop owner from the Battaramulla area.
Officials stated that further investigations remain underway to apprehend and produce the suspect before the court.
After considering the facts, the Magistrate ordered the police to conduct a thorough investigation and report the findings to the court promptly.
