Special bus services across all provinces remain operational for people returning to Colombo after travelling for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, according to the National Transport Commission.
Director Sherin Athukorala stated that raids are also underway to identify buses charging fares above the set rates.
Special train services are also functioning today and tomorrow, as confirmed by Sri Lanka Railways.
General Manager Asanka Samarasinghe noted during a press conference in Colombo today that these special trains operate in addition to those running on the regular schedule.
