Rain or thundershowers likely occur in many parts of the island after approximately 1:00 p.m. today, according to a statement issued by the Department of Meteorology.
Heavy falls exceeding 50 mm may occur at some places in the Northern, North-Central, Central, and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Kurunegala and Trincomalee districts.
Showers might also affect certain areas of the Southern province during the morning hours.
Misty conditions possibly prevail during the early morning in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, North-Central, and Uva provinces, along with the Kurunegala district.
