Vehicle prices set to rise following tax hike

Imported vehicle prices will likely increase in the near future due to the 2.5% rise in the Social Security Contribution Levy and the appreciating value of the US dollar.

Prasad Manage, President of the Lanka Vehicle Importers Association, indicates that a Honda Vezel could increase by 300,000 rupees, a Toyota Raize by 250,000 rupees, and a Wagon R by approximately 150,000 rupees.
