The foreign ministers of Japan and India have agreed to work together to ensure safe maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and maintain stable energy supplies.
The agreement was reached during bilateral discussions held alongside the Japanese Foreign Minister’s visit to India.

They further reaffirmed commitments to deepen cooperation in defence, security, and people-to-people exchanges.
The two sides also exchanged views on the Middle East situation and agreed to cooperate on issues including ensuring safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, stable energy supplies, and securing essential commodities.
