Leonardo wins order for 15 helicopters from Avincis

Italian defence and aerospace group Leonardo said on ‌Monday it received from Avincis, Europe's largest provider of emergency ​air services, an order ⁠for 15 helicopters.

No value for the contract was disclosed.

The order is for ten AW169 light intermediate and 5 AW139 intermediate twin-engine helicopters.

They ‌are ⁠due to be delivered during 2028-2031.

Three of the AW139 helicopters will be ⁠deployed in Sweden.

Helicopters have historically been one of Leonardo’s ⁠strong points, accounting for about 25% of ⁠revenues in the FY 2025.
