US, Tehran set to hold high-level talks in Switzerland

US Vice President JD Vance has arrived in Switzerland for high-level talks with Iran mediated by Pakistan and Qatar after days of delay.
Iran’s delegation, led by Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, says its main goal is to ensure all parties fully implement the interim deal to end the war.
Iran says the Strait of Hormuz is closed again over Israel’s continued attacks on Lebanon, but the US military says the waterway remains open to all vessels.
Israeli forces have killed dozens of people in Lebanon despite the “ceasefire” with at least six soldiers killed and 20 others wounded over the past few days in Hezbollah attacks.
