Venerable Rambukana Siddhartha Thera, a veteran lyricist, author, and prominent figure who rendered an unmatched service to Buddhist literature, has passed away.
He made an immense contribution to enriching local music culture by penning a large number of songs across various themes, including Buddhist religion, social, and emotional issues, such as 'La Dalu Bopath', 'Senehasa Puda', 'Sanda Tharu Mal', and 'Sansare Api'.
He passed away while receiving treatment at the Jayewardenepura Hospital.
He was 76 years old at the time of his passing.
