Shashi Weerawansa released on bail

The Colombo Magistrate's Court ordered the release of Shashi Weerawansa on pending appeal bail after she faced accusations of committing an offence under the Immigrants and Emigrants Act by obtaining irregular foreign travel.

The Hiru court reporter stated that the relevant case file was called before Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (20) to deliver the verdict regarding the case.

The defendant Shashi Weerawansa appeared in court at that time, and the court ordered the case to be called again on September 27.
