An astonishing incident was reported from Kohombankulama village in Galgamuwa, where a person who was officially announced dead by the police returned home alive to his own prepared funeral while all arrangements were being made for the burial.
D. M. Keerthisena, a resident of Kohombankulama, Galgamuwa, arrived home unexpectedly today (24) in this manner.
Nanneriya Police informed his relatives that he, who was detained at the Wariyapola Prison, died while inside the prison.
Relatives and villagers, deeply shocked and grieved by this message, together took immediate steps to organise the funeral.
While funeral banners were put up across the village, frames for the funeral house were being erected, and all arrangements were being prepared for the cremation, Keerthisena arrived home alive, leaving everyone astonished.
