Sri Lanka’s only private airline, FitsAir, launched its inaugural flight from Ahmedabad, India to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Sri Lanka today, marking a key expansion in its regional network.
The new route has been launched in partnership with City of Dreams and Walkers Tours, further strengthening tourism and travel linkages between India and Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka cricket legend Sanath Jayasuriya is among the distinguished guests expected to attend the inaugural flight ceremony.
The launch is seen as a boost to inbound tourism and business travel between the two countries, adding further momentum to growing air connectivity in the region.
