The All Ceylon Jewellery Merchants Association announced a sharp rise in gold prices across the country today (26).
The price of a 24-karat gold sovereign increased by Rs. 3,000 to retail at Rs. 379,000, compared to yesterday's rate of Rs. 376,000.
Similarly, a 22-karat gold sovereign went up by Rs. 2,700, bringing the current market price to Rs. 348,700 from yesterday’s value of Rs. 346,000.
