The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID) has entered into a strategic partnership with FitsAir, Sri Lanka's first privately owned international airline and a leading low cost carrier, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), officially welcoming the airline as a Gold Partner.
The collaboration reflects SLID's continued commitment to building high impact partnerships with leading corporations, strengthening its engagement with the business community, and enhancing value for its members through access to broader industry networks and knowledge ecosystems.
The partnership brings together FitsAir's position as a dynamic and fast evolving player in Sri Lanka's aviation industry with SLID's mission to promote corporate governance and director development.
SLID Chief Executive Officer Anitra Perera said, "SLID's role as a national platform for corporate leadership and governance excellence is strengthened by our partnership with FitsAir. By bringing a forward thinking aviation brand into our ecosystem, we are expanding opportunities for our members to engage with industry innovation, broaden their strategic outlook, and benefit from diverse corporate perspectives."
FitsAir Executive Director Ammar Kassim said, "Our partnership with SLID reflects a strategic alignment with an institution that plays a vital role in advancing board level excellence and corporate governance in Sri Lanka. Through this collaboration, FitsAir will strengthen its leadership presence within the business community, deepen engagement with the corporate sector, and contribute to the broader dialogue on sustainable growth and organisational development."
The formalisation of the partnership through a structured MoU underscores the shared commitment of both organisations to long term collaboration, knowledge sharing, and value creation. It also reflects the growing importance of cross industry partnerships in strengthening Sri Lanka's corporate ecosystem through innovation, resilience, and leadership.
As SLID continues to expand its strategic alliances, the inclusion of FitsAir as a Gold Partner further reinforces its position as a proactive institution driving corporate engagement and leadership excellence.
