The Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL) has removed the suspension imposed on the registration of Sanasa Life Insurance Company PLC with effect from 06 July 2026.
The decision was communicated through a letter dated 06 July 2026, following a series of announcements issued on 09 December 2025, 12 December 2025, 26 December 2025, 03 February 2026, 06 March 2026 and 07 May 2026 regarding the suspension of the company’s registration.
However, the removal of the suspension is subject to Sanasa Life Insurance Company PLC fulfilling certain conditions stipulated by the regulator.
The IRCSL had earlier suspended the registration of the insurer as part of regulatory measures. The latest decision allows the company to resume operations under the conditions set out by the Commission.
