Walala A. Rathnayake Central College sets a new meet record winning the under-18 boys' 800x4 Relay at the ongoing Hiru Relay Championship 2026, held at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Diyagama.
The team set a new meet record in completing the relay in 7 minutes and 54 seconds.
The championship is completely sponsored by the Hiru Media Network.
Organised for the fourth time by the Sri Lanka Schools Athletics Association with the consent of the Ministry of Education, the event covers all age categories and features over 4,500 school athletes from across the country.
