Australia women clinch record 7th T20 World Cup

Australia comfortably chased down a target of 151 to defeat England by seven wickets at Lord's, claiming a record seventh T20 World Cup title.

Beth Mooney anchored the successful chase with an unbeaten 64, marking her third consecutive half-century in T20 World Cup finals.

England struggled to build early momentum after being put in to bat, despite captain Nat Sciver-Brunt scoring a 45-ball fifty.

Freya Kemp provided a late boost for the hosts, striking an unbeaten 44 to help build an unbroken 80-run partnership for the fifth wicket, pushing the total to 150 for 4.

Australia responded aggressively, with Phoebe Litchfield hitting 48 from 35 balls in a century stand with Mooney to break the back of the chase.

Despite both Litchfield and Mooney falling before the conclusion, Australia cruised to victory with 17 balls to spare, maintaining a perfect record in seven T20 final appearances.
