The CID has initiated several investigations into the death of businessman Dinesh Schaffter, who died after being taken to hospital.

Dinesh Dinesh Schaffter was found with his hands tied and seriously injured in a car at the Borella Cemetery.

Sources in the department stated that further investigations have been initiated regarding a complaint made earlier that Brian Thomas, a well-known cricket commentator, taking a loan of 1430 million rupees from Dinesh Shafter.

Also, the analysis of CCTV footage in and around Borella Public Cemetery and phone records has commenced.

The CID stated that they are investigating whether Dinesh Shafter was killed inside the cemetery or outside.

Dinesh Shafter, a director of Janashakti Insurance Company, is the son of cricket administrator and businessman Chandra Shafter.

Between 2 and 3 pm yesterday, he left his house telling his wife that he was going for a discussion. 

However, a Borella police officer said that he had told his secretary that he was going to meet cricket commentator Brian Thomas, who had taken a loan of 1430 million rupees from him.
