Minister of Health and Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, has been appointed as the Chief Government Whip in the new government during the inaugural Cabinet meeting held today (19).
Dr. Jayatissa, who was also appointed the Cabinet Spokesman, joins the newly formed Cabinet, which was chaired by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Additionally, Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation, Bimal Rathnayake, has been appointed as the Leader of the House.
