'SEIRI WEEK' ANNOUNCED TO CLEAR CLUTTER FROM STATE INSTITUTIONS

The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government has announced a week-long initiative to remove accumulated waste and unwanted items from government institutions.


The programme, named 'Seiri Week', will be implemented from the 1st to the 4th of September under the "Clean Sri Lanka" national programme.


'Seiri' is the first word of the 5S concept, which refers to the practice of sorting and removing unnecessary items while keeping only what is needed.
