Nugegoda St. John's College has secured a place in the quarter-finals of the Under-19 Tier 'A' Inter-School One-Day Cricket Tournament, organized by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association under the patronage of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).


In the second-round match held at the S. de S. Jayasinghe Central College Grounds in Dehiwala, St. John's College defeated Gamini National School, Bentota, by 50 runs.


Nugegoda St. John's College scored 162 all out in 49.4 overs, with Trishan Weerasooriya contributing 44, Sandun Perera 34, and Hansana Denuwan 30.


Weshan Jayalath took 5 wickets for Gamini National School.


Bentota Gamini National School was bowled out for 112 in 37.3 overs, with Ayush Nethma and Weshan Jayalath scoring 23 runs each, while Imeth Sansilu claimed 2 wickets for St. John's College.
