Sri Lanka’s official reserve assets increased by 1.6% in May, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka has announced.

Accordingly, the country’s official reserves, which stood at USD 6.766 billion in April, rose to USD 6.873 billion by the end of May.

The Central Bank further stated that this reserve figure includes funds received under a foreign exchange swap facility from the People’s Bank of China.
