A new drama series about elite golfers on an exclusive island is coming to Netflix.

Titled “Jupiter Island,” the show hails from Connor Hines, the creator of FX’s “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette,” and A24. The project, a straight-to-series order, is the first in a new overall deal between Hines and the streamer.

Per the logline, “On the ultra-exclusive Jupiter Island, the privileged world of professional golfers and their wives fractures when a mysterious outsider arrives — and a secret threatens golf’s reigning power couple.” Casting has yet to be announced.

“I’m thrilled to be partnering with Netflix, A24 and Bad Wolf’s Julie Gardner,” Hines said in a statement. “I’ve been living with the world of ‘Jupiter Island’ for quite some time, and I’m so excited and lucky to bring it to life with such amazing collaborators.”

“We’re thrilled to welcome Connor Hines to Netflix,” added Jinny Howe, Netflix’s head of scripted series in the U.S. and Canada. “Connor has a rare gift for rich, character-driven storytelling that shines through again in Jupiter Island, reflecting our commitment to delivering premium television to engage our audiences. His recent Emmy nomination is proof he’s just getting started — and we’re excited for everything that comes next.”

The announcement comes the day after Hines earned an Emmy nomination for “Love Story,” which is competing for the award for best limited or anthology series.

“Jupiter Island” is the latest in a recent string of series set on the green, including Netflix’s upcoming Will Ferrell comedy “The Hawk” and Apple TV’s Owen Wilson series “Stick.”
