Iran%E2%80%99s+FM+in+Oman+for+talks+on+managing+traffic+through+Strait+of+Hormuz
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is in Oman with the visit part of ongoing consultations between Tehran and Muscat pertaining to the arrangements of the passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

Consultations between the two countries have been going on for the past two months.

Iranian officials have been reiterating that they have a sovereign right in managing the Strait of Hormuz in order to keep it safe and secure.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman has stated that the US has a history of violating or of breaking agreements. Baghaei said that Iran did not request negotiations at this stage, but it accepts mediators’ visit to Tehran.

Baghaei is also accusing the US of violating the MoU by carrying out air strikes and also by revoking the exemption on Iranian oil exports.
